Lighthouse Christian School is excited to announce the opening of a new early learning center on the east side of Madison. This won’t be like any other day care. This center is a vision of Care Net, Elizabeth House and Lighthouse Church to bring quality early childhood education in a safe, Christian environment. It is our desire to offer families, especially those at risk, with affordable child care and family support.
Here’s a video explaining more about this project:
Families will not be denied access to our program based on financial need, but will be given the opportunity to attend through scholarships and state help. We offer bilingual education (English/Spanish) to meet the needs of families while giving children the gift of multiple languages. Our curriculum focuses on early learning skills and prepares children for entrance into 4K. Our goal is to not only provide excellent education and care, but to also minister to the families we serve through adult education, family support and counseling through our partnership with Care Net. It is our heart to be a vital part of the family and help them see success in all areas of their lives. In order to get our center up and running, by spring 2015, we need $50,000. This money covers the cost of furnishings, books and materials, toys, computers, and start up staffing. Any amount you donate will go directly towards making this vision a reality. $5.00 can buy a book so that a child can fall in love with reading. $50.00 can buy paper and crayons to help a budding artist. $500.00 buys a high-quality curriculum that helps bridge the gap we see so often in children’s learning
